The SR-2 is a highly accurate and easy to use soil resistivity meter.
The SR-2 is designed for use in both 2-Pin and 4-Pin (Wenner) methods of soil resistance measurements. The SR-2 provides easy resistance reads with a digital 4 1/2 digit display and easily adjusted Ohm range selector.

The Model SR-2 has an internal 12 volt, rechargeable battery and an internal 9 volt battery.
To check if the 12 volt rechargeable battery needs to be charged, depress the "PUSH AND HOLD TO TEST BUTTON". The LED green light above the "TEST AND HOLD TO TEST BUTTON" will blink if the battery needs charging. A solid green light means your battery is charged and ready for use.
To charge the battery when needed, plug in the charger on the top of the panel into the charger port. The red light next to the charger port will illuminate when the charger is connected properly. For a full charge, charge for 8-10 hours. Retest the battery after the allotted charging time once again using the "TEST AND HOLD TO TEST BUTTON". A solid green light indicates a charged battery.

the Model SR-2 ships with the 31-025 charger which includes a power cord for use in North America. In other regions of the world, an adapter may be required. Users may also find a local source for a replacement power cord. This is a standard cord in use throughout the world. IEC 320 C7 Non Polarized connector. See picture below.
